See below for my favorite kid room organizing solutions.

Open bins are great for kids because it makes it easier for them to put toys away. These bins in fun colors fit in the Room Essentials cubbies from Target. They will fit in the cubbies from Walmart and Ikea as well, but there will be extra space around the sides and top.

If your little one wants everything in their favorite color instead of having multicolor bins, these work great for the Target Room Essentials cubbies as well.

These adorable whale bins fit in the Target cubbies as well. If you click on the link they have dinosaurs as well. Dinosaurs were my favorite when i was a kid.

If you want the whale or dinosaur bins that will fit better in the Ikea and Walmart cubbies, you can find them here. Caution-these are too big for the target cubbies. This is a 6 pack.

If you or your kids don’t like things totally hidden, this is a good option. The star on the front is clear so you can easily see what is inside. These are 12″ so they will fit in the Walmart and Ikea cubbies with a little room to spare.

There are way too many fun options for boxes in kids rooms. Can I be a kid again? These are 13 inch so they will fit the Walmart and Ikea cubbies. They will not fir the Target ones.

Ok, last of the cube boxes I promise. These will go great by themselves or with the previous animal ones. These are also 13 inch so they will fit the Walmart and Ikea cubbies, not the Target ones.

If you need storage that you or your kids can just throw stuff back into, this is a great option. You can also get extra bins for this and easily rotate toys so they are less likely to get bored of them. This comes in many different colors to choose from.

If your kid loves the solar system this is a fun option that allows them to easily put their toys away.

If you don’t have a ton of books, here is a fun way to display them. This allows your kids to pull the one they want out without making the mess that normal bookshelves can cause when multiple books come out with the one you want.

Here is a soft-sided stackable toy box that will make clean up a breeze.

If you prefer something a little more polished looking or if your playroom doubles as your living room, this wooden storage is a great option while still making it easy to put the toys away.

This is a great 2 in one option if you are short on space – it has a toybox and an art station in one. My only word of caution is that sometimes with larger toy boxes, toys can get lost at the bottom.

This art station has a whiteboard and chalkboard and provides storage for art supplies underneath.

This table includes a roll of paper for endless drawing opportunities and has bins to keep art supplies at fingers reach on either edge.

This has a paper roller for endless drawing opportunities and bins to keep supplies at fingers reach on one side of the table. It also has extra storage bins underneath for extra supplies or toys.

Triple the amount of hanging space in the closet with this. this hangs on your existing closet bar and turns one bar into three.
